On 26.03.2025,  the University of Ruse held an official meeting of the Erasmus students at the University of Ruse under the rector's leadership.
During the 2024-2025 academic year, the University of Ruse welcomed a record number of students - 169 participants in the "Erasmus +" program. In the winter semester of 2024/2025, 70 students from 10 countries studied at the university, and in the current summer semester their number increased to 99, coming from 40 universities in 20 countries.
During the event, the guests presented their countries in a very attractive way. The audience had the opportunity to enjoy a real cultural journey and immerse themselves in an unforgettable multinational cultural adventure with songs, dances and traditions from different countries.
The University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" maintains active international activity with over 700 contracts concluded under the "Erasmus+" program in various fields and with higher education institutions all over the world.
The efforts of the university are highly appreciated by the National Erasmus Agency and for this activity it invariably occupies leading positions in terms of funding and has been awarded three times by the National Erasmus Agency-Sofia in recognition of the quality implementation of the undertaken activities.
For this and the next academic year, the University of Ruse has approved funding under the Erasmus+ program for EU countries and for partner universities in 24 countries outside the EU: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia, Cambodia, China, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Iraq, Brazil and Canada.
